The 2025 Paving and Drainage Project is scheduled to begin on June 23, 2025, and will continue through the spring and summer. The project includes repaving approximately 10 miles of roadway and 4.5 miles of multi-use trail, as well as various drainage improvements and utility upgrades to enhance infrastructure resilience.

Traffic impacts are expected, particularly along West River Street during paving preparation and final paving operations. Additionally, trail closures will occur along portions of the Legacy Trail to allow for utility improvements and paving work. Specific project areas include the Regional Park Lower BBQ Area to the East River Street Bridge, and from the Glenshire Trailhead to the 2024 paving limits near the Tahoe-Truckee Sanitation Agency Plant.

Signage will be placed in project areas to help notify the public, and updates will be provided to share where and when construction will be taking place. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve Truckee’s roads and trails.
