Sign up via our online form.
Once you sign up for the waitlist application process your position is timestamped and your place is held until we can provide the opportunity for formal application to the waitlist. Prior to releasing a waitlist application, STR Division Staff researches your property to see if it's viable to join the waitlist. You will then receive an email with further instructions on how to complete the application process.
Applying to Join the Waitlist
Please use the link above to sign up to receive a waitlist application. Once you are provided the opportunity to apply for the waitlist you will receive an email from STR Division Staff with further instructions on how to complete the waitlist application process.
Waitlist Application Requirements
- A $100 non-refundable deposit will be due at the time of application submission.
- Payment can be made with a credit card (a $3.30 processing fee applies) or by ACH payment.
- Questions that will be asked on the application:
- Property Owner Information: Name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- Rental Address Information: Property address, and Assessor Parcel Number (APN).
- Rental Unit Information: Property type, number of permitted bedrooms, and the date of most recent sale/transfer of the property.
- Documents: Copy of the Recorded Grant Deed showing current ownership of the property.
Waitlist Application Review
- Review of your waitlist application will take 10-15 business days at least. Please do not reach out regarding status of your application prior to that timeframe.
- Status on your Waitlist Application, if more information is required or if you are approved to register as a STR will all be communicated via email and sent to the email address associated with your user account.
- User Account: You can also view status and any notes Town staff has requested within your user account.
- STR Waitlist Position: When review is completed, we will provide a list of STR Waitlist Application Standings (PDF). Please utilize this link first to check standings prior to reaching out to STR staff.

When a Registration becomes available the Waitlist Applicant will be notified to register for a transient occupancy registration certificate for which the applicant will have 30 days to register their property as an STR. From the time that the registration is received staff will have 10 to 15 business days at least to review for approval.
The following information will be required:
- Property owner information confirmation.
- Rental address information confirmation.
- 24/7 Local Emergency Contact Information: Name, phone number, and email address.
- Number of on-site paved parking spaces.
- Note: If your property is in within the Downtown Mixed Used (DMU) zone, and on-site parking is not available, an alternative parking plan must be provided designating the location of off-site parking.
- Acknowledgment of two trash receptacles and a bear-resistant trash enclosure.
- Completed Fire Safety Self-Certification Form (PDF).
- Formal acknowledgment of standards.
- Registration Fee $443.33:
- Remaining Registration Fee Balance: $293
- Annual Fire Fee: $150.33
