Train to Truckee

The California Zephyr line of Amtrak runs daily and connects Truckee to the Bay Area, Reno, and as far as Chicago. The Truckee Amtrak Train and Bus Stop is located at 10065 Donner Pass Road in downtown Truckee.

Travel by Bus to Truckee

Greyhound offers an opportunity to take a scenic bus ride to and from Truckee. Buy a bus ticket through the Greyhound website or the free Greyhound app. With just a few clicks, you can easily book your bus trip and choose your preferred seating. The Truckee Welcome Center has limited hours for in-person ticket sales.

Get to Truckee by Plane

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), a 30-minute drive from Truckee, offers more than 130 daily flights to 27-plus non-stop destinations including New York, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Denver, and southern California. Utilize the Reno Airport shuttle: North Lake Tahoe Express to complete your trip into Town.

Reno Airport Shuttle to Truckee

Get to and from Truckee from Reno through the North Lake Tahoe Express. They provide year-round, scheduled service between Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) and Truckee. At the airport, North Lake Tahoe Express is located past the baggage claim area outside of door D. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance for the North Lake Tahoe Express.
