Get ready to ride as Truckee’s popular BCycle E-Bike Share program is back for Summer 2025! The Town of Truckee, in partnership with BCycle, a national leader in electric bike share technology and operations, is excited to continue this successful initiative, offering residents and visitors a fun, sustainable, and efficient way to get around.

Over the past seasons, Truckee riders have taken over 7,800 trips, pedaled more than 51,000 miles, and helped offset an impressive 48,000 pounds of carbon emissions. This summer, we’re ready to build on that momentum!

BCycle’s pedal-assist electric bikes make exploring Truckee’s scenic and mountainous terrain easier than ever. Riders can check out and return bikes at docking stations throughout town using the BCycle mobile app, available for download now or online at truckee.bcycle.com. The app also helps users plan bike-safe routes and locate open docks for a smooth and seamless ride.

This season, 50 electric bikes will be available across 100 docks stationed throughout Truckee—from West End Beach at Donner Lake to the Glenshire Legacy River Trail trailhead. New in 2025, you'll also find docking stations at two exciting locations:

  • The brand-new Railyard Mobility Hub
  • The soon-to-open DEWBEYÚMUWEɁ PARK, located at 10257 West River Street along the Truckee River Legacy Trail

BCycle and the Town of Truckee are committed to promoting safe, sustainable, and active transportation options. Whether you're commuting, running errands, or just cruising for fun, e-bikes are a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and embrace an active lifestyle.

Before you hop on, don’t forget your helmet! And please remember: Truckee enforces a 15 MPH speed limit on all paved trail systems. Be courteous to fellow trail users, ride responsibly, and enjoy the journey.
